Set Slack Status
When in a meeting, set my Slack status to "🖥 In a Screen meeting", and unset it when I'm done. If a custom status is in place, just replace the emoji and revert it when done.
When you're being quiet the microphone sensitivity goes up by a mile and that causes my teammates to hear every little noise in my background, such as a dog downstairs, or children playing outside.
I would like to propose a fixed link on my website for my customer when they need assistant. It would be usefull if we can have a private number session, in which only me can open the session. Do you think it could be a good developpment, or does it already exist ?
Select a single window to screenshare (not just a rectangular area)
We've now implemented the ability to share a rectangular area of your screen. This new feature request tracks the request to share a specific window.
Add people from list to an ongoing meeting
Allowing a way to add someone from the "People" list to an ongoing meeting would be very useful. Now the only way I have found to add someone to an ongoing meeting is sending them a link.
Move "end call" button to the top
Minor annoyance, but I hate trying to chase the "end call" button as a meeting is ending and people are dropping out.
Ability to blur the video background
Ability to blur the video background, so just the outline of the user is displayed, at home I don't really want to let other users see the children run around or the books in the bookcase or the untidy bedroom in the background
Share Computer Audio
I’d like to share my system audio in a Screen meeting (e.g. while playing a video, or other sound effects on my computer).
Ability to kick out participant
Sometimes a ghost copy of a participant gets stuck in a connecting state which gets really annoying. The only way out of it currently is to start a new meeting. Being able to kick out a participant, or solving the bug of the eternally connecting ghost user would be great.
Quick-toggle for allowing others to control
While pair programming, I often have to step away from my computer for a minute to take my puppy outside. It would be nice to be able to leave my screen shared so my colleague can continue looking at what we were just discussing, without me having to worry that they might dig into the private things on my computer while I'm not looking, e.g. browsing through my password manager. Currently, the setting for toggling allowing control takes too long to access for purposes like this where I have to dash off quickly. Not only is it a few clicks away, but the session's settings menu takes ~3 seconds to open, the options jump when the title appears a moment later, then opening Advanced Settings, where the 'Allow others to control' setting lives currently, takes another ~2s.
