We've updated Screen to v3 today, which should fix most of the known issues in the previous v2 builds. Please update to v3 via Settings, and if you see this issue again, please create a new post.

Sometimes as a client in a meeting with multiple users the screen stops updating for some clients. Audio continues to work.
Leaving the meeting and rejoining for the affected client works temporarily until the issue occurs again.

Jeremy J: What OS is the host on, Windows?

This happened again with 4 clients all on MacOS. Happened frequently making it very difficult to use.

Hi! Recent updates have really helped. In 1.2.0 I'm getting audio cutting out entirely thirty minutes into a screen share (no video). Host is on a fast connection, guest (me) is on a really slow residential DSL connection. Things worked great, then audio sputtered, and then cut out entirely (There's a fair amount of background hum, so i can tell easily when it's no-audio vs other-side-is-quiet-thinking). This also correlated to some blockiness. The prior version (1.11? I forget), the audio cut out after 3 minutes. We didn't try reconnecting (in the middle of work stuff, so we went back to zoom.). Both on Mac/Catalina

Mark Dalrymple: We _just_ pushed a few updates that address both audio and video issues(details here: https://screen.canny.io/changelog). Please try again (make sure both sides are on the latest version). I’m sorry it’s taking this long — on a positive note, Screenhero was in beta for 12 months before we got everything working smoothly. Screen just crossed the 2 month mark, and I think we’re now close to the finish line.

J Sherwani (Pop Team): Nice! We'll try it out wednesday. And we were in the ScreenHero beta (email records go back to November of '13) and were happy paying customers until the Slack times :-) Glad to see it coming back.

We just released Screen v1.2, which significantly improves both bandwidth and CPU issues significantly! If you’ve ever experienced an issue with bandwidth, please try the latest update and see what you think. It should be light years better than before: https://screen.canny.io/changelog/screen-v12

Screen v1.1 is now released, which addresses this issue and others: https://screen.canny.io/changelog/screen-v11

This should now be fixed on the latest version. If you still have issues, please report them in the main bug: https://screen.canny.io/bugs/p/low-quality-resolution-unusable-bandwidth-issues

Yesterday, we released an update that should significantly improve performance, to the point where you can even turn on Retina mode ("use full resolution" enabled) and it should work well if you have a good network and if CPU usage is not an issue for you. Otherwise, keep that setting disabled (this is the default).
If you have low bandwidth (<2Mbps upload), the latest update should work very well for you. We fixed the issue where the stream would stop for many seconds in low bandwidth. We’ll continue to improve performance in low bandwidth situations, but believe that we’re now significantly better than where we were before this update.
Please try out the latest version and let us know how it works for you. This is our product’s core feature, so any feedback you have here is supremely useful. Feel free to email me directly at j@screen.so if you prefer a 1:1 conversation instead of the forum, else please post your experiences as a comment below.

On MacOS Catalina, Screen v1.0.49|v1.0.16, the resolution of the shared image is far too compressed to be useful. This was the case with both members of the call sharing their screen, and bandwidth was sufficient for Zoom's screen sharing with cameras running.
