We've updated Screen to v3 today, which should fix most of the known issues in the previous v2 builds. Please update to v3 via Settings, and if you see this issue again, please create a new post.

We are in the process of releasing additional improvements around CPU usage when screen sharing. If you would like early access to these improvements, please respond to this comment and I can grant your account early access.
Note: You will need to have the setting "Reduce power on user inactivity" enabled in order to benefit from these improvements. This setting can be found in Settings -> Media Settings.

Great work on Screen! However, I'm still seeing high CPU usage. 2015 MBP, both cores pegged at 100% when screensharing at full resolution. Screen Client version 2.1.24, App version 2.1.6

We're in the process of releasing additional improvements to CPU usage when screen sharing. I have provided your account with early access to this feature to see whether it manages to reduce CPU on your system. Please let me know if you notice a reduction in your CPU levels on future screen shares.
