Connection issues

Having an issue where participants to a meeting can't connect. Person 1 starts, person 2 joins.
P2 can hear and see P1 but not the other way around. Both parties see each other as constantly 'connecting' and can interact via chat, but never fully connects.
Happened with 6 of my colleagues, all on OS Catalina 10.15.7
