J Sherwani (Pop Team): Awesome! I think it should be marked as [Mac] tho right?
J Sherwani (Pop Team)
Kevin Maldjian: Good catch, sorry about that! We've had np-store issues in the past with Windows, but I think we should be able to fix them for all platforms now, so I've taken off the platform tag.

Could you try force-quitting the app via Activity Monitor and see if that fixes the issue? We've discovered an issue where the app can end up in a stuck state after we deploy a new version, which may explain this. We're looking into a fix, but in the meantime, force quitting the app should provide a temporary workaround.

J Sherwani (Pop Team): Hey, thanks for the fast reply! Sadly, I have also tried to force quit from activity monitor. Besides "Screen" would there be any other services I should force quit?
J Sherwani (Pop Team)
Kevin Maldjian: Screen Helper (anything "Screen *" honestly) should also be quit if it hasn't already. Could you try launching it from a terminal window using:
/Applications/Screen.app/Contents/MacOS/Screen --enable-logging --v=2
and see if the extra output gives anything useful? Also try it without those flags to see if there's any output that may shed some light on the issue. If this doesn't work, please find a time via https://calendly.com/j-pop/debug-session for us to debug this together. Thanks!K

J Sherwani (Pop Team): Good news! Thank you so much for the command above. After using it I got:
[26476:0121/114712.429364:VERBOSE1:pref_proxy_config_tracker_impl.cc(186)] 0x7fdb41934e80: set chrome proxy config service to 0x7fdb41936130
This error originated either by throwing inside of an async function without a catch block, or by rejecting a promise which was not handled with .catch(). The promise rejected with the reason:
Error: [node-persist][readFile] /Users/kevinmaldjian/Library/Application Support/Screen/np-store/dc8585dff47ee4535b94ea74f662ab56 does not look like a valid storage file!
I fixed it by just deleting my
np-store
folderJ Sherwani (Pop Team)
Kevin Maldjian: Thanks for the additional info! We're looking into this issue so we can catch this error internally and fix it automatically.
